Scotch pine is a traditional Christmas tree known for its strong branches, bright green color, and excellent needle retention. This resilience, combined with its ability to hold ornaments well, and the classic pine scent makes it a very popular and practical choice for a holiday tree. ​​​
Buzz and Verda (Doty) Meyers began their tree planting journey in 1982 and started selling Christmas Trees in 1986. After Buzz passed in 2003, the family paused planting operations in 2005 and paused selling any trees in 2016. However, in 2019, Buzz and Verda's grandson, Raylee Cross, planted 300 Scotch pine trees, with several hundred pines and firs planted each year since then.
